Access to selected publication and publishers ist restricted and only granted for ECVS users. To guarantee restricted use, access is only possibe thru a technology called proxy. This technology allows to access selected pages thru our proxy system and protect that with a given login ad password.
We choose proxy instead of VPN (virtual private network) as this is usually easier to establish for most users.
The login and password needed will be the same as in the ECVS learning system!
Warning: We strongly recommend using your privat computer. If you plan to use a system provided and managed by your institution, you may not be able to change proxy settings, if different proxy settings are active on your system already: please make sure you do not perform any changes without contecting your local system administrators. This may lead into breaking browser or even entire computer internet access!
We recommend Firefox Browser, this browser is available for free and allows settings only active within firefox, if possible we highly recommend to install this browser!
